Regent Wants More BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Participants in Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands Regent Junaedi will increase the participants of Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) in 2021.

For instance, when one of workers dies, everything will be covered, including the compensation by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan

Through this health service, he disclosed, many benefits could be felt including, PJLP in Thousand Islands Regency administration.

"For instance, when one of workers dies, everything will be covered, including the compensation by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan," he expressed, Saturday (12/12).

Therefore, he would recruit all workers in the informal sector to participate in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, in order to get protection, especially when a work accident occurs.

"We are about to intensify socialization and build partnerships with regional leaders and administrators. In 2021, we expand the network again in the hope that everyone can participate and feel the benefits," he explained.

In the meantime, Kelapa Gading BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Head Ervan Kurniawan expressed, his side would continue to forge strategic partnerships with the Thousand Islands Regency.

"We want to reach more participants, especially in the informal sector such as fishermen, traders, seaweed and keramba farmers, as well as companies and resorts that have workers in Thousand Islands area," he stated.
